The biggest issue with it though, is that I'd like to expend the house now that my kids are growing into adults, and the bloody crib being stuck there doesn't let me move the house around. I moved the family out, uploaded the house to my library, demolished the old house, replaced it and moved them back in. I tried a bunch of things: I moved the family out and back in both before the baby grew up and with a toddler, I tried with move objects, I tried to make the object a Sim's head, I had another baby at the hospital to try and make it spawn a different crib. The baby is now a teenager, with a younger sibling who came along later, and the bloody crib is still stuck there.
When they moved though, the baby's crib got stuck half out of the lot, and stayed there no matter what I did. My sim family had a baby, which wouldn't fit in their tiny micro home, so I moved them to a bigger lot to build something larger. So, I'm having a bit of an issue, and so far haven't found a way to fix it.
